Media Release: Dolphin Shopping Centre Crowned With RoSPA Gold Hat-trick
Poole, Dorset – Friday, May 28, 2010; The Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole has again been recognised with the prestigious RoSPA Gold Occupational Health and Safety Award for 2010.
The hat-trick of consecutive Gold medals, the highest possible ranking, in the last three years clearly demonstrates the shopping centre’s commitment to not only maintaining and monitoring but also its strive for excellence in introducing new processes, procedures and working practices, for the benefit of its customers and staff. In order to achieve this consistently high standard, the Dolphin Shopping Centre has continually shown excellent occupational health and safety management systems, high levels of compliance with control measures and below average and reducing rates of error such as accidents and work related ill-health. The Dolphin Shopping Centre team was presented with their Gold Award at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, NEC, on Thursday, May 13. The ceremony took place alongside Safety & Health Expo 2010, Europe’s leading annual health and safety exhibition. David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The Dolphin Shopping Centre has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others. Organisations which do this deserve to have such dedication recognised and that’s where the RoSPA Awards come in. “As well as there being clear ethical reasons and legal requirements for good health and safety management, there is also a strong business case.
