Poole, Dorset – Wednesday 27 January, 2010; The Dolphin Shopping Centre would like to advise its valued customers that the lift, situated in the Plaza, will be temporarily closed due to essential maintenance works from Monday 1 February.

Part of the continued improvement of the Poole shopping centre, the lift will undergo major mechanical and aesthetic works to refurbish the facility, which are anticipated to take around four weeks to complete. While the works are being carried out, shoppers can still access stores situated on the Gallery Level via lifts located within Beales and at the Bus Station entrance. Stephanie Lacey, Dolphin Shopping Centre Manager, commented: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience due to the temporary closure of the lift. The planned extensive engineering works are essential to repair and replace major mechanical parts and, to ensure limited disruption, we are also taking the opportunity to aesthetically update the facility. “When complete, the works will help to ensure that an even more reliable service is available for the convenience of our customers and we would like to thank everyone for their patience while we undertake these improvements to the centre.” Anyone requiring assistance to access the Gallery Level stores during this period can contact one of the Dolphin Shopping Centre customer liaison officers located throughout the centre, who will be happy to help. -Ends- Notes to Editors In 2003, The Dolphin Shopping Centre was acquired by Grosvenor – the leading international property development, investment and management group – for its Grosvenor Shopping Centre Fund.
