Harlow, Essex (UK) – Thursday, January 13, 2011; International sportscar driver Luke Hines has today unveiled his brand new website ahead of the 2011 racing season. The launch of www.lukehines.com coincides with his attendance at Europe’s biggest motorsport show, Autosport International, which opens at the NEC Birmingham today and continues until January 16.

Fans from across the globe will find it easier than ever to follow the racing exploits of the Essex-based driver by keeping up to date with his latest news and brand new blogging column, while signing up for his new Facebook and Twitter pages. Visitors can also find out more about Hines’ intriguing life experiences, which have helped mould his life and racing passions. The former British Touring Car Champion earned international acclaim following his stunning American Le Mans Series GTC debut season last year. Boasting a winning pedigree in every category he’s ever competed, claiming championship titles, race wins and podiums in karting, single-seaters, the BTCC, GT1 and GT2, Hines missed out on adding a GTC class victory to that tally last season. Despite leading the class field in every contested round a massive accident at Mosport, where his Paul Miller Racing Porsche was pitched into the wall by a prototype while flat-out on the back straight, put paid to the 28 year-old’s race-winning chances. Featuring a fresh new brand and image, the website will continue to evolve in the coming months, as Hines’ plans and sponsors for the 2011 racing season are unveiled. Hines commented: “It’s really important for fans to be able to keep track of what I’m doing and it’s essential, especially with the international interest I’ve gained, that I have an appropriate website and online presence, with Facebook and Twitter. Keeping in touch with fans is something I really enjoy doing, so it’s just a natural progression. “We’ve been working really hard on everything and now I hope people can log on and learn more about me. From my early battles in life, including the accident which nearly claimed my life as a child, and how I’ve overcome adversity like losing my little sister at just 13. There’s a lot more to Luke Hines than what you see at the race track and I hope people will enjoy finding out more about what makes me tick. “Blogging is a completely new thing for me which I’m finding great fun. The new site will also be the best way to keep everyone updated with my 2011 plans. There are still a lot of options on the table, some of which I will be speaking about at Autosport International this weekend. “I also hope to soon be announcing details of the charities I plan to support, which I hope will evolve around helping support terminally and seriously ill children.” For further information visit www.lukehines.com. -Ends- Notes to Editors Luke Hines will be attending Autosport International on January 13-16, 2011.
