Media Release: Noddy Voted Summer Success By Dolphin Shopping Centre Visitors

Poole, Dorset – Wednesday, August 4, 2010; Dolphin Shopping Centre visitors young and old were delighted to have the chance to meet children’s TV favourite Noddy, on Monday, August 2, who left Toytown to pay a special visit to Poole as part of the shopping centre’s Escape the Midday Sun free family events.

Nearly 60 years after the iconic character was created by Enid Blyton, Noddy proved as popular as ever across the generations during his first ever visit to the Dolphin Shopping Centre. His enthusiasm, curiosity and unstoppable drive, was infectious to visitors who relished the opportunity to meet and pose for pictures as Noddy made regular appearances throughout the shopping mall. Stephanie Lacey, Dolphin Shopping Centre Manager, said: “It was wonderful to see that after all this time Noddy proved to be one of the most popular children’s character visits yet. Noddy was greeted with an impressive crowd for each of his appearances and we are delighted everyone enjoyed taking the chance to meet one of their childhood heroes.” With Noddy’s visit voted such a success, visitors can now look forward to meeting Peppa Pig and George who will be appearing throughout the Dolphin Shopping Centre on Bank Holiday Monday, August 30.
