Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire – Friday, March 19, 2010; Coopers Square shoppers can spring into Easter with lots of free family fun planned throughout the Bank Holiday weekend. With a special visit from popular children’s TV characters Peppa Pig and George, free chocolates and the chance to join the Great Bunny Hunt and win £100 in Coopers Square vouchers, there will be plenty of Easter inspiration for visitors of all ages.

Give the children a treat this Easter Monday, April 5, with the chance to meet stars from Peppa Pig - the children’s smash-hit TV show. Peppa, a loveable, cheeky little piggy who last visited Coopers Square in 2008, will return to Burton with her younger brother, George, in tow for the first time. Peppa Pig fans will know that dressing up and days out are among her favourite things to do and so the five year-old pig and her little brother are looking forward to exploring the Coopers Square shops and meeting the local children this Easter. The superstar pair will be appearing throughout the shopping centre at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. While exploring the fabulous new spring fashions and gorgeous Easter gifts found throughout Coopers Square’s 70 plus stores, why not keep the children amused with the Great Bunny Hunt? Ten big bunnies have been hidden in shops throughout the centre and children aged up to 12 years need to find all ten to be in with the chance of winning £100 in Coopers Square shopping centre vouchers. To enter the competition, simply pick up and complete the form in-centre and post it in the prize draw box in the Main Square before Sunday, April 11. There will also be some Easter surprises in store for shoppers, who might be lucky enough to receive free mini chocolate Easter eggs, which will be given away throughout the weekend. Dave Chadfield, Coopers Square Centre Manager, commented: “It’s fantastic to have so much going on in the shopping centre this Easter bank holiday, with lots of free fun activities for all of the family to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming our Easter visitors and hope everyone has fun finding the hidden bunnies for the chance to win £100 in shopping centre vouchers in the Great Bunny Hunt. “Children’s TV characters are always popular at Coopers Square so we are really looking forward to welcoming Peppa Pig back to Burton and to meeting George for the first time on Easter Monday.” Coopers Square will be open on Good Friday, April 2, and Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Easter Monday, April 5. The centre will be closed on Easter Sunday. -Ends- Notes to Editors In 1999, the Coopers Square shopping centre was acquired by Grosvenor – the leading international property development, investment and management group – for its Grosvenor Shopping Centre Fund.
