Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire – Thursday, August 19, 2010; Peppa Pig fans turned out in force for their chance to meet Peppa Pig and her younger brother George at Coopers Square on Wednesday, August 18.

Peppa Pig and George returned to the Burton upon Trent shopping centre for the first time since Easter. The adorable pair couldn’t wait to come back to check out the latest Coopers Square stores and meet more new friends in perfect time to offer some family fun as part of the free programme of summer holiday events. Fans relished the chance to meet and pose for pictures with the children’s TV superstars, who packed out the Main Square for each of the five performances held throughout the day. Dave Chadfield, Coopers Square Centre Manager, commented: “It was great to see Peppa Pig and George back at Coopers Square. I don’t think we have ever seen such an impressive crowd gathered for every single performance, so it was wonderful that our shoppers gave them a very warm welcome.” Peppa Pig and George’s visit followed a special appearance by the legendary Mr Men character Mr Bump just two weeks ago. Fifi Forget-Me-Not and her best friend Bumble will be buzzing into Coopers Square on Bank Holiday Monday, August 30, to give Fifi and the Flowertots fans a final special school summer holiday treat. Children can meet Fifi and Bumble during their appearances at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm. Coopers Square will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday, August 30, still leaving plenty of time to finish off the ‘back to school’ shopping mission. From quality school uniforms for all ages to satchels, books, stationery and shoes, with over 70 leading stores and convenient rooftop car parking, it couldn’t be easier to complete the school shopping in one easy trip to Coopers Square.
