Zerion Pharma – Company Introduction

Meet Zerion Pharma’s management team, CEO Ole Wiborg and CFO Jakob Dynnes Hansen, when they introduce the company in relation to a private placement. Zerion Pharma is a non-listed Danish company. 

ZERION Pharma is a pharmaceutical company specialized in improving the bioavailability of oral drugs by increasing their solubility. The company was established in 2019 as a spinout from the University of Copenhagen and today has 15 employees and its own laboratories. ZERION has established collaborations with several of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, and in addition develops its own drug formulations as improvements to existing marketed drugs. ZERION plans to start human clinical studies for its first proprietary product, an anti-cancer drug, during 2023.  

ZERION has developed the Dispersome® platform technology that improves the solubility of poorly soluble oral drugs and improves bioavailability and therapeutic options for patients. The Dispersome® technology is based on the production of stable amorphous formulations by mixing high amounts of drug substance with beta-lactoglobulin supplied by Arla Food Ingredients. The Dispersome® technology is patent protected.
