South African-based Eqstra Group is a major player in the supply and maintenance of industrial, agricultural and materials handling equipment throughout South Africa, Africa and the UK. The company’s subsidiary, Eqstra Industrial Equipment, has established HC Forklifts UK, to import and distribute the HC range of forklifts manufactured by Hangcha, China’s leading forklift truck manufacturer. Around 30 per cent of the machines manufactured in Hangcha’s Zhejiang Province-based factory are exported, meaning of all Chinese-owned forklift truck manufacturers, Hangcha exports the highest volume.

21 February 2014HC Forklifts UK has increased its dealer coverage after adding 24 strategic partners to its network, only 12 months after launching the company. The business, which was established by Eqstra Industrial Equipment, imports and distributes an extensive range of Hangcha machines, including diesel, gas-powered and three and four wheel electric forklifts, plus a comprehensive range of warehouse equipment. The machines, which are manufactured in China, are all specified with running gear sourced from Japan or Korea – including Cummins, Nissan, Perkins or Yanmar engines –
