SSI Renews HFMA Peer Review Designation

Chicago – February 12, 2014 – The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) today announced that, following rigorous review, The SSI Group, Inc. (SSI) has once again achieved the "Peer Reviewed by HFMA®" standard for its SSI Billing product.

SSI Billing is a comprehensive claims management solution that facilitates the electronic editing, validation and transmission of institutional and professional healthcare claims. SSI provides edits at the HIPAA, payer and provider levels. The technology allows providers to edit claims using Software as a Service (SaaS) or by an Application Service Provider (ASP). Claims are routed through SSI's nationally recognized clearinghouse to over 1000 payer connections. SSI is the first organization to be certified as a CAQH/CORE vendor and clearinghouse. CLAREDI, EHNAC and SAS70 have also certified SSI's Data Center.

HFMA's Peer Review process provides healthcare financial managers with an objective third party evaluation of products and services used in the healthcare workplace. The rigorous, eleven-step process includes a Peer Review panel review comprised of current customers, prospects who have not made a purchase, and industry experts. Peer Review status of the product or service and its performance claims are based on effectiveness, quality and usability, price, value, and customer and technical support.
