HEALTHSTAT, INC. HIRES CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER AND GENERAL COUNSEL
Longtime law partner leaves practice to fulfill dual role for rapidly growing healthcare provider.
Charlotte, N.C.-based Healthstat, Inc. has hired its outside legal counsel and one of Western North Carolina’s most experienced and respected attorneys, Warren Hutton, to become its first Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. Healthstat is one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing providers of employer-based on-site health clinics offering on-site primary care, high-risk health and disease management services in employer facilities.
As Chief Operating Officer Hutton is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company in accordance with the directives of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. As General Counsel he is responsible for managing all legal affairs effecting and incident to the implementation of Healthstat’s business model.
Prior to joining Healthstat, Hutton served as longtime managing partner of Sigmon, Clark, Mackie, Hutton, Hanvey & Ferrell, P.A. in Hickory, N.C., where Healthstat has been a client for many years. As the firm’s chief counsel for Healthstat, Hutton provided extensive legal services in all areas of the company’s business management and strategic planning.
