It’s not too late for a snowy escape this Easter with Ski Club Freshtracks

Report this content

Easter may fall a little later this year, but there are still plenty of fresh tracks to be made out in the Alps and many reasons why Spring is worth the wait. Ski Club Freshtracks’ Easter holiday offering busts some Spring skiing myths by combining top guiding and instruction, expansive high-altitude terrain and excellent value, and aims to ensure skiers have the best time on the mountain.

Myth: The snow isn’t great in April.

Reality: Many don't realise April's potential to bring some of the biggest snowfalls of the season.

At higher altitudes the snow pack often doesn’t reach its greatest depths until March and late-season April storms will commonly bring fantastic snow conditions with them. In some resorts, like Zermatt, some advanced ski areas will open a little later in the season because they require a lot of snow to cover the rocky slopes. Once covered however the skiing in these areas remains superb until May. Combine great snow with spring's feel-good skiing, vibrant après and sun-tanning potential and the lower slushy resort runs pale into insignificance.

Visit two countries and three valleys in 4 days on a Ski Club Freshtracks Italian Easter Weekend to Cervinia:

Cervinia is linked to Zermatt in Switzerland accessing 350km of pistes. The high altitude slopes guarantee great snow until the end of the season.

Holiday price £750 includes: 4 nights B&B, 3* Hotel Compagnoni, twin share, return scheduled flights, coach transfers, Ski Club Leader service. Departs 17th April.

Myth: It’s busy and expensive to hit the slopes in school holidays.

Reality: Easter is quieter and more affordable than most peak holiday dates.

The Easter holidays tend to be generally quieter than other peak school holiday dates so the slopes don’t feel as frenzied as February half term and the long sunny afternoons make you feel like you’re getting more skiing for your money. Skiers can also escape the main slopes entirely on a Ski Club Freshtracks off piste weekend.

Get off the beaten track with Ski Club Freshtracks Argentiere Adventure Weekend:
