The Ski Club announce new editor for Ski+board Magazine
The Ski Club of Great Britain are delighted to announce the appointment of Colin Nicholson as Ski+board magazine editor.
Colin started skiing at the age of two and 43 years later, shows no sign of slowing down. Writing for dedicated winter sports magazines and national newspapers including The Independent, Telegraph and Metro, means he has covered many aspects of the wonderful and often action-packed life of the mountains.
Ski Club CEO Frank McCusker said: “We’re excited Colin has taken on the editor role. As a freelance journalist with 12 years ski writing experience and 16 years in editorial production, Colin is well placed to take on this key strategic role within the magazine and the Club.”
Nicholson said: ‘Under Arnie Wilson’s editorship, Ski+board has landed some amazing stories about skiing and snowboarding around the globe. I hope to continue that tradition while bringing alive the world of winter sports to wider audiences in new and creative ways.’
Ski+board, published by the Ski Club of Great Britain, is printed four times a year (October, November, December and February) and is also available on the Apple Newsstand and the Ski Club website. An online issue is released at the end of March, and a summer issue, 'Elevation' will be printed and featured online in May.
Colin will be commissioning original wintersports travel content across all issues of the magazine so please do keep in touch with relevant news, launches or potential review stories.
For news and press releases, contact Rosie Barcroft, the Deputy Editor. Rosie will also be commissioning for the summer issue, Elevation and Online Issue 5.
