HEIDENHAIN Now Offers Fieldbus Encoders with Hollow Shaft Design

SCHAUMBURG, IL (March 2013) –HEIDENHAIN now offers the ECN/EQN 400 series rotary encoders with PROFIBUS and PROFINET interfaces for use in manufacturing, process automation, and more. These new encoders feature a rugged blind hollow shaft, with a 12mm diameter. Both the models ECN 413 and EQN 425 rotary encoders are resistant to shock (6 ms) up to 1000 m/s2 and vibration up to 100 m/s2 in accordance with DIN. Providing protection to IP 64, they are designed for an ambient temperature range from –40 °C to +70 °C in accordance with DIN with shaft speeds up to 6000 rpm. In regards to
