Report this content

Heimstaden Bostad has once again received Sustainalytics’ highest possible ESG risk rating - “Negligible Risk” - for the third consecutive year. Sustainalytics, a Morningstar company, is a globally recognised provider of ESG research, ratings, and data.

With a score of 8.3, Heimstaden Bostad is ranked among the top 2% of companies globally, the top 5% within our subindustry, and second overall in our peer group.

This recognition reflects Heimstaden Bostad’s continued commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices. Sustainalytics assessed our ESG risk exposure across key areas such as stakeholder governance, human capital, and product governance. In all these categories, Heimstaden Bostad was rated as a negligible risk contributor. Our management score of 65.9 (Strong) further highlights the depth and maturity of our ESG programmes from green building initiatives to social supplier standards.

Paul Spina, Chief Operating Officer, commented:

- “We are humbled by this recognition, which affirms that we are not only operating in a low-risk asset class, but also managing that risk with care and diligence. It’s a testament to the dedication of our colleagues and partners who work every day to create long-term value for our owners and external stakeholders.”

While we are encouraged by this result, we see clear opportunities to further strengthen our performance and alignment with ESG rating agencies to ensure consistency in both metrics and rankings for multinational investors such as ourselves.

Heimstaden Bostad remains committed to continuous improvement in ESG management and will continue to provide transparent updates on our progress.
