Hemfosa Fastigheter signs new lease in Arendal
Hemfosa has signed a new agreement for previously vacant floor space of approximately 20,000 sqm in the Arendal 1:17 logistic property on Synnerödsvägen 2, next to the Port of Gothenburg. The property will, following a few minor adjustments, be fully leased to the logistics company Agility AB, which is expanding in the region.
At the end of December 2017, Hemfosa signed an eight-year lease with Agility AB for the rental of a warehouse and logistics terminal in Arendal. The property, which was completed in 2012, comprises some 20,000 sqm of premises and about 30,000 sqm of outdoor space and is located in an attractive area for logistics directly adjacent to the Port of Gothenburg. The tenant will move in on March 1, 2018.
“We are very pleased that we can expand our capacity to 43,000 sqm in a highly attractive area. In 2016, we invested in a 23,000 sqm logistics warehouse that we have now outgrown. The new 20,000 sqm property will be a further step, and offer us an opportunity to continue to meet our tenants’ demand for advanced logistics solutions with a focus on the bigger picture,” says Mats Nordin, CEO of Agility AB.
“We are delighted to lease out the previously vacant logistics property in Arendal, which only required minor adjustments to become functional premises for the new tenant, Agility AB. Arendal is an important area for industry and trade in the Gothenburg region, where we are active in continuing to evolve and expand Hemfosa’s property portfolio,” says Annika Ekström, Head of Property Management at Hemfosa.
