New CEO appointed for Hemköp The Board of Directors of Hemköp has decided to appoint Håkan Matz, 48, President and Chief Executive Officer. Håkan Matz will take up his new st position on the 1 of July this year. Simultaneously, the Board has appointed Peter Lund, 39, who is head of Hemköp´s store operations, Executive Vice President of the company. Nils-Erik Johansson has been active in Hemköp since 1974 and has been President and Chief Executive Officer since 1982. He is retiring from Hemköp but will work on special assignments for the Axel Johnson Group. Håkan Matz has a distinguished career in Swedish business life. 1976-1987 he was product and marketing manager at Asea-Skandia, 1987-1994 he was employed by Dagab in several positions, finally as head of marketing, 1994-1996 he was director of marketing at Kungsörnen. Since 1996 Håkan Matz is President and Chief Executive Officer of Servera R&S AB. Peter Lund has a long career with Hemköp. He first joined the company in 1978, at the Hemköp store in Sundsvall. After completing the management training program, he served as store manager for eight years. In 1989 he was named head of fresh foods at Hemköp's central organization, and two years later he was named regional director of the Norrland region. Lund has been director of store operations for Hemköp since 1998.
