New shares are issued in Hemköp in connection with the combination between Hemköp and D&D

New shares are issued in Hemköp in connection with the combination between Hemköp and D&D 25,358,595 new shares in Hemköpskedjan AB ("Hemköp") have been issued in connection with the combination between Hemköp and D&D Dagligvaror AB ("D&D") to create the "New Food Company". The number of shares in the "New Food Company" (Hemköp) will hence amount to 50,358,595. The newly issued shares, temporarily designated "AkU" by VPC (the Swed- ish Securities Register), will be listed on the OM Stockholm Exchange's A- list as of 17 March 2000. The newly issued shares will be separately listed with the designation "U" until the Ordinary General Meeting de- cides upon and executes dividend payment for the fiscal year 1999. The newly issued shares, "AkU", entitle to dividend payment from the fiscal year 2000. The separate listing will cease after the record day for the dividend payment.
