Former British Tennis No.1 Tim Henman said: "I have been involved with Dukes Meadows since it's launch in 2008 and have continually supported its ongoing work within Tennis through its FC** Tennis Academy. It's an amazing facility and a big part of the local Chiswick community. I'm excited to have the chance to take to its par 3 course and try my hand at golf against
some of the world's best players, all in the name of charity!"

European Tour Winner, Dukes Meadows Golf Coach and a Zone Golf Director, Van Phillips said:
“It’s great that the first of many Zone Golf events will be held at my home club, Dukes Meadows, which is not only one of the best par 3 courses in the world, but also absolutely perfect for the Zone Golf format. The Zone Golf Charity Shoot Out will give us a chance to show the golfing world how our concept brings fast paced excitement to the traditionally reserved game of golf.”

Dukes Meadow’s General Manager Mark Swain commented,
“Dukes Meadows is thrilled to be chosen as the host of Zone Golf – a truly new generation of the sport. The confirmation of these major names in golf and the celebrity line up will definitely create some buzz in the local community and provide an amazing day out for all the family.”

The event will have £250,000 competed for by the players to give to their affiliated charities, with £100,000 going to the winning professional’s nominated charity and £50,000 going to each of the losing Pro’s charities of choice.

Popular UK TV presenter Vernon Kay will host the day.

Zone Golf is a colourful, Par 3 game with a twist, which is set to revolutionise golf and be the sports version of 20/20 cricket. The game is played over 9 holes, which through its fast-paced strategic nature, offers an extremely exciting alternative to ‘normal’ golf. Each Par 3 green is divided into three coloured “zones” with a hole and flag in each zone (green-easy, ambermedium, red-hard). Each player/team must nominate a zone on the tee and subsequently hit that zone to acquire the relevant points (green-3, amber-6 and red-9). Additional points are available for Bogey-1, Par-2, Birdie-3, Eagle-4 (Hole in One). Spectator and player excitement is rocketed by the introduction of a “do or die” situation on every tee.The player/team with the most points after nine holes wins.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 19th April and are available at www.zonegolfthegame.com
