FC** TENNIS ACADEMY STARS CONTINUE TO SHINE IN NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS
The children of Britain’s most successful tennis academy, FC** Tennis, continue to star in national tournaments and look to finish the year on a high.
The following locally-based rising tennis stars recorded impressive results at tournaments across the country, further strengthening FC** Tennis’ reputation as the leading tennis centre of excellence in Britain.
- Jorge Beltrao was winner of the U12 Boys Sutton Tennis Autumn Open
- Ben Heynold reached the Quarter Finals in the U12 event (despite being an U11) at the University of Bath Winter National
- Iman Garshong was U14 girls runner-up at the Bromley Tennis Centre Autumn Tournament
Dukes Meadows’ FC** Tennis Academy Director, James Lenton, who has coached many of Britain’s best players including Elena Baltacha, Laura Robson, Ann Keothavong and James Ward said,
“I’m always very proud of the children we coach. They train incredibly hard so I’m not surprised to see them compete so well on a national stage. We have an exceptional team of coaches and a group of children who are always eager to develop and improve.”
Founded in 2003, the FC** Tennis academy which is based at Dukes Meadows, Chiswick, continues to be the most successful youth academy in Britain for producing players who go on to compete at elite levels. They have developed more national champions and Grand Slam main draw players than any other academy in the country and many of the country’s current leading juniors train at FC** Tennis.
The recent success on court has coincided with the arrival of Dukes Meadows’ new General Manager, Richard Shepherd, who brings with him a vast amount of experience in tennis having previously held roles at St George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club and the Lawn Tennis Association. The newly appointed Shepherd said,
“Whilst Dukes Meadows welcomes children and adults of all ages and abilities, we are determined that the FC** Tennis Academy continues to be the leading tennis academy in the country. The children’s recent success is just desserts for the effort they display every day.”
It’s set to be a busy end to the year at the Chiswick tennis, golf and skiing venue as the Lawn Tennis Association hold two talent identification camps at Dukes Meadows on the 9th and 10th December, as they continue to look for Britain’s next Grand Slam champion.
