SPORTS STARS’ TEAM CARBON BIKES TO BE SHOWCASED AT THE CYCLE SHOW 2013
Bespoke bike manufacturer Team Carbon Bikes (TCB) will showcase former British No.1 Tim Henman’s and ex-Liverpool and England footballer Jamie Redknapp’s Team Carbon Bikes at the 2013 Cycle Show held at the NEC, Birmingham this weekend. This will be the first year that the UK’s premier bespoke carbon bike company will be exhibiting at the annual cycling event.
TCB recently sponsored the sporting pair as they joined Michael Vaughan’s Chance to Ride charity fundraiser last week. Both bikes, signed by the sport stars, will be on display at the TCB stand throughout the four days before they are auctioned off on ebay to raise money for charities Chance to Shine and Laureus.
Owner and Founder of TCB Lars Clausen said:
“Team Carbon Bikes are delighted to be displaying our magnificent range of bespoke bikes at the Cycle Show. The Cycle Show is the UK’s largest dedicated showcase of cycling products and consistently attracts the best possible customer base. Team Carbon Bikes have had a wonderful year, helping to raise money for two worthwhile charities Chance to Shine and Laureus [charities promoting young people’s participation in sport]. Our stand will encourage cycling enthusiasts to experience the quality and detail of our Team Carbon Bikes.
Tim Henman said of the bike: “The bike was fantastic, I have never ridden a proper bike like that and I couldn’t believe how light it was, how easy it was. I dread to think what would have happened if I had on been on a normal bike.”
Jamie Redknapp commented: “It was a great bike, really nice. I’ve never really done this type of cycling before, the cycling was tough. Once you get used to it its lovely.”
TCB bikes are tailored to each individual’s preferences resulting in a high quality bicycle which is engineered to the cyclist’s exact specifications. The online service created by Team Carbon Bikes is based on 20 years of experience repairing broken frames and understanding that every bike is as individual as its owner. The TCB website allows individuals to design their own bespoke bikes including the choice of mococoque frames made using 3K UD weave carbon, groupsets from Shimano 105, Ultegra, Ultegra Di2 and SRAM Red, as well as colours for the frame, stickers and bar tape.
The Team Carbon Bikes stand will be running a competition throughout the four day event offering participants to take a carbon frame home if they can correctly guess its weight. For more information visit: http://www.teamcarbonbikes.co.uk/index.html
