Hexagon divests EBP
Hexagon AB, a leading global provider of design, measurement and visualisation solutions, has today divested the company EBP Olofström AB to Nävrabäcken AB. EBP is reported within the business area Other Operations.
EBP manufactures car body components for several of Europe’s leading automotive manufacturers. The company is specialised in the qualified production supply of low volumes for both series production and the aftermarket.
In 2012 EBP reported net sales of approximately 23 MEUR with a negative EBIT margin of approximately -5 per cent. EBP represents less than one per cent of Hexagon’s net sales.
As previously communicated, it is Hexagon’s intent and strategic focus to concentrate all resources to the core business, Measurement Technologies, and divest the business area Other Operations. After the divestment of EBP, Other Operations consists of one company - SwePart Transmission (“SwePart”). SwePart is a leading manufacturer of custom gearbox housings, precision-ground gearwheels and other transmission parts for industrial and automotive applications. In 2012 SwePart had a turnover of approximately 40 MEUR generating an EBIT margin of approximately 7 per cent.
