Thalamus Operations AB concludes multi-million agreement with Örebrobostäder AB
March 16, 2005 Thalamus Networks AB’s subsidiary, Thalamus Operations, and Stadsnät i Örebro have concluded an agreement with municipally owned Örebrobostäder for distribution of broadband services to Örebrobostäder’s tenants.
The term of the agreement is five years and is estimated to be worth approximately 100 million kronor on the condition that the projection for connected tenants of 50 percent is achieved. The first years will be regarded as investment years, however. Tenants will be able to subscribe to services such as Internet access, IP TV and telephony. – We can now offer Örebrobostäder’s tenants the latest broadband services at a price which is among the lowest. All tenants will be offered 10MB Internet access for SEK 199 per month during the first year. After the first year, the price for the same service will be SEK 249 per month, says Staffan Gustafsson, President of Stadsnätet i Örebro. Thalamus will market the offer to the tenants, handle operations and monitor the network, seeing to it that the right service from each provider gets to the right customer. – We want to create the right economic conditions for property owners and the owner of the metropolitan area network to invest in broadband expansion.
