Hipmunk and Uber team up to take the agony out of holiday travel
SAN FRANCISCO (NOV. 26, 2014) — Hipmunk, the fastest and easiest way to plan travel, has partnered with Uber to take the agony out of holiday travel. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, travelers heading to Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport are eligible for a free one-way UberX or UberXL ride worth up to $50. Travelers should simply enter the promo code HipmunkIAH into the Uber app, select an UberX or UberXL, and enjoy the ride.
Hipmunk and Uber also have teamed up to integrate the Uber API into the Hipmunk iOS mobile app. Now, when users book a last-minute hotel or look at a previously booked reservation on the day of check-in, they see an Uber button that allows them to order a ride directly to their hotel. The destination address is auto-filled so users can easily see the estimated ride price as well as the time it will take for their Uber to arrive.
