The profit before goodwill increased 55% to SEK 44.8 million (SEK 28.9 m), which is equivalent to a margin of 16.1%. "HiQ has continued to grow during the first half of 2001 while maintaining good profitability. This means that we have consolidated and improved our position and customer offering. Bearing in mind the current market situation, we are naturally delighted with this development," says Lars Stugemo, CEO of HiQ. All business areas have performed well and HiQ has reported growth in industries such as telecoms, finance, motor vehicles and defence. "It is encouraging that our telematics initiative is paying off and has led to an increase in the number of assignments for the motor vehicle industry. Cars are increasingly becoming natural communication forums, which is well and truly in line with mobile developments in general," he continues. Almost one fifth of HiQ's net sales now go outside Sweden, mainly to the Nordic countries. "HiQ is a profitable company with a strong financial position. Its primary focus is on its customers and employees. This is an excellent strategy for the company and it puts us in a healthy position as regards future developments," concludes Stugemo.
