HiQ aims for expansion in Mälardalen and Östergötland in 2009
– intensified marketing initiative and new site in Västerås
In 2009 HiQ will expand the operations in Mälardalen and Östergötland – through establishment in Västerås as well as an intesified marketing initiative through the existing operations in Arboga and Linköping. Together the two companies employ more than 100 consultants on high-tech projects for clients in the telecoms, defence and automotive industries etc. The long-term goal is to double the headcount and become the leading player of the IT-industry in this region.
“In early 2008 we acquired HiQ Ace in Linköping, thereby strengthening HiQ’s position. There are important clients in the region such as ABB, Alfa Laval, Autoliv, Saab AB, BAE Systems Bofors, Ericsson, SMHI and Volvo, which are currently served via our offices in Arboga and Linköping. We are now implementing a marketing initiative in the region with the aim of broadening our client base and increasing the positive partnership between the two companies, as well as establishing a new business in Västerås,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.
Increased cooperation between HiQ in Arboga and Linköping is an important element of the initiative in the region. Increased sales efforts and greater breadth will substantially strengthen the offering to clients in the region.
“I have just taken up the position of Managing Director of HiQ Ace and I feel incredibly enthusiastic about the new marketing initiative that we are now making in this region. We have a large number of clients and by working together we will be able to provide them with a stronger offering and better delivery capability,” says Patrik Holm, newly appointed Managing Director of HiQ Ace in Linköping.
“From our office in Arboga we have worked successfully for many years on developing systems, products and services for clients in defence, automotive, manufacturing industries and the public sector among others. We see great opportunities at present for expanding our cooperation with large companies in this region. As part of this expansion we are also establishing a base in Västerås, to make it easier to attract yet more skilled colleagues to work with the rest of HiQ on serving the important industrial enterprises in Västerås and the surrounding area,” says Anders Nilsson, Managing Director of HiQ Mälaren Valley.
“We currently employ more than 100 people in this region and hope to be able to grow the business further in 2009. Our goal is to double our headcount in this region in the longer term, thereby becoming the leading player in the region,” concludes Lars Stugemo.
