HiQ is expanding its collaboration with defence group Saab. In addition to several ongoing research and development agreements, HiQ has now also signed a framework agreement for IT services.
"Saab is a valuable client that we have worked with ever since HiQ was founded in 1995. We are delighted that they value our efforts so much that they are making us an even more complete supplier,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ.

The collaboration between HiQ and Saab stretches back almost 25 years, during which HiQ has been a direct R&D supplier for the last 15 years – including flight simulators. A collaboration is now being initiated for various services regarding the defence group’s IT platforms.

“Our long-term collaboration with the defence industry and Saab is proof that we are skilled in this field. We understand the security requirements for their products and services very well, which I know they appreciate. We also have a very capable staff, are responsive, react to their needs and work where they do,” says Patrik Holm, managing director of HiQ in Östergötland.

This agreement is yet another example of large companies now challenging traditional suppliers to instead look for those who can both develop products and deliver IT solutions.

“Saab is a crown jewel in Swedish industry, and we see this as proof of our importance to Sweden’s export industry and that we contribute to the country’s total defence", says Stugemo.
