HiQ COMMENCES COLLABORATION WITH PORVOO ENERGY AND KERAVA ENERGY
HiQ has strengthened its position in the energy sector by partnering with energy providers for the cities of Porvoo and Kerava in Finland. As part of the agreement, HiQ will provide consulting services as well as integration and monitoring solutions for remotely read meters in both regions. HiQ was selected on the basis of its integration expertise and knowledge of the energy business.
”Being an information distributor between systems providers has been a laborious operation model for us. We have a clear need for process monitoring, and were looking for an independent partner to look out for our interests early on in the process, when we were determining processes and negotiating with providers,” says Tomas Nordström, zoning manager at Porvoo Energy.
“In choosing an integrator, product quality and staff expertise were both important criteria. We wanted an integration solution that suited us. HiQ proved to be the most capable provider we came across, both in terms of integration know-how and expertise in this particular area of business,” adds Osmo Auvinen, network manager at Kerava Energy.
”When it comes to multi-vendor projects, a lot can be solved by choosing the right partner. We are constantly developing our business expertise in the energy sector, and our goal is to be a partner who has cohesive know-how of the energy field and its business processes,” says Jukka Rautio, managing director of HiQ Finland.
The partnership has commenced with a consultation process, while integration projects will kick off in August of 2011.
