- signs a new agreement with world-leading telecoms supplier

This year HiQ is concentrating on expanding its activities in the IS/IT area so as to further broaden operations and meet clients’ needs for advanced IT services. Within the framework of this drive, HiQ has signed a new agreement with one of the world’s leading telecoms suppliers. The two-year agreement concerns consultancy services within systems development and IT-management among others and covers all HiQ’s subsidiaries. IT is becoming increasingly business-critical and is an essential component of daily operations for many companies and organisations. There is a growing need for customised systems. HiQ has long experience of developing systems with high specifications in terms of reliability and availability, and works in this area with a large number of clients in many sectors. “As technology becomes ever more crucial in every company and organisation, this creates a need for advanced solutions within traditional IS/IT, i.e. systems that support our clients’ operations. There is also a big demand for services within this area among clients to whom HiQ has been supplying services within research and development for many years. This new agreement with one of our major telecoms clients is a good example of this,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ. HiQ currently has a very strong offering within quality assurance of large IT projects, primarily on the Finnish market. During the year HiQ has worked continuously to further develop this offering on the Swedish market, thereby further strengthening its offering within the IS/IT area. “The acquisition of our company HiQ Quality Services in Finland created a platform that enables us to establish HiQ as a very strong player when it comes to development, implementation and quality assurance of large IT systems, in the same way as we have been a total supplier within product development for clients in various sectors for many years,” Stugemo says. “These days there is a big focus on the part of our clients on reviewing their support systems and ensuring an effective IT environment. The solid experience we have built up makes expansion within this area a natural step for us to take. We are seeing a high level of demand in several sectors such as finance, media, public sector, and manufacturing and industry. In other words: interesting new opportunities for HiQ,” Stugemo concludes.
