HiQ develops combat vehicle simulator for Land Systems Hägglunds HiQ has received an order from Land Systems Hägglunds AB to develop training simulators for the CV 90 combat vehicle, with an international end-customer. The equipment will consist of chassis and turret trainers and is to be used for training technical staff. "We enjoy a very good dialogue with Land Systems Hägglunds and are looking forward with confidence to our new cooperation with them. The production of a modern combat vehicle makes great demands of communications systems and advanced technical solutions based on the client's specific needs - skills that we at HiQ have and can assist Land Systems Hägglunds with," says Tomas Täuber, HiQ's Account Manager. The training simulators will be used to train technical personnel on both the chassis and turret. HiQ is responsible for developing part of the simulation system for the training equipment on which the technical personnel will be trained to deal with situations requiring technical maintenance, e.g. when faults arise in the electrical functions of the vehicle. "HiQ has long experience of developing simulators for the defence sector through our cooperation with FMV, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, and our development of training simulators for combat pilots and ground personnel. We have been working in this area since 1992. We see the assignment from Land Systems Hägglunds as proof of that our specialist expertise in simulation and our skills in the defence sector create unique business opportunities in which we are able to help our customers increase their competitiveness," says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ International.
