HiQ develops new information system for Copenhagen Airports A/S - increasing passenger and aircraft safety The IT and management consultancy HiQ is developing an information system in cooperation with Copenhagen Airports A/S. The system will chart all aircraft movements on the ground, thereby contributing to improved safety. Copenhagen Airport is SAS's main airport and thus the central node of the Star Alliance. The airport is very busy with over 250,000 operations (departures or landings) and around 18 million passengers per year. "HiQ is working on the system architecture, choice of technology, specification and development of the system which will gather information on the movements of all aircraft on the ground. The system will contribute to further safety improvements for aircraft and passengers," says Gilbert Jensen, Managing Director of HiQ Wise. HiQ Wise has worked with Copenhagen Airports A/S since 2000, primarily on the development of information and area safety systems. "Safety, reliability and performance are keywords in every system that HiQ develops," says Jensen.
