HiQ develops new management consulting operation to focus on international companies To support its customers internationally, HiQ has started up a new business area - Business Consulting. This has been created to meet the huge demand for telecommunications skill in the international arena. Business Consulting is a natural development for HiQ which is already active throughout the whole telecommunications chain; from suppliers and operators to corporate and private customers. - The two main driving forces behind HiQ's continued development in telecommunications are mobility and our customers' demand for international consulting assignments. Our expertise is in greater demand globally, says Lars Stugemo, Deputy Managing Director of HiQ International. With internationalization and the development of new technology the potential of the market is expanding enormously. Mobile Internet, with technologies such as IP (Internet Protocol) and WAP ( Wireless Application Protocol), is attracting companies which facilitates new business ideas and activities. - We want to show our customers the business benefits of these new technologies, reports Stugemo. Many companies are interested in Mobile Internet technology and we have competence to offer. We expect to have 50 people working with Business Consulting within six months. As a bonus, our Mobile Internet and WAP initiatives will get more support through intensifying our focus on management consultancy services in these areas.
