HiQ develops testing instruments for Ericsson Eurolab in Germany HiQ has signed an agreement with Ericsson Eurolab in Hildesheim, Germany for the development of testing instruments for mobile packet datacoms networks. The development relates to PPDC systems, the standard for the Japanese mobile telecoms market. The testing instruments enable testing complex packet data systems, including performance testing for the top node in the PPDC system, verification of mobile data switches and mobile unit simulation instruments. "The order is a breakthrough and we see tremendous opportunities for our spearhead skills within mobile datacoms on the German market. HiQ has a vast experience of working with hi-tech mobile data solutions and Ericsson is a customer that is way ahead when it comes to development, which makes this project particularly attractive," says Bernt Sjögren, Managing Director of HiQ Open. "HiQ has an ambition to follow its customers overseas and continue to offer them high quality consulting services in new geographic areas. Germany is an interesting market and several of our customers are established there," says Lars Stugemo, CEO of HiQ International. "Our international assignments are increasing as our customers expand globally. We have a great deal of experience from the deregulated telecoms market and breadth within telecoms and mobile telephony, which is in demand overseas today. We work with suppliers, operators and end users alike, which is a unique concept of which we are proud," concludes Stugemo.
