HiQ helps Folkspel to launch innovative new gaming concepts on the Internet HiQ has worked with the adaptation and integration of the OnNet platform for Folkspel securing a successful launch of new gaming services. Folkspel i Sverige, the Swedish lottery company, has successfully launched HockeyChallenge, an innovative new gaming concept on the Internet. Registered Swedish players can participate in interactive virtual hockey tournaments using a technology originally developed by Veikkaus, the Finnish National Lottery. HiQ Softplan has adapted OnNet for Folkspel and integrated the platform with Folkspel's membership portal and the virtual tournament game developed by the Swedish technology company Jadestone. HiQ Softplan is Veikkaus' partner in the OnNet platform development. "The HockeyChallenge is a completely new concept for national lotteries," says Anssi Rantanen, Deputy Managing Director of HiQ Softplan. "The adaptation and integration project was also very challenging with interfaces to a variety of content servers, payment systems and user interfaces." Folkspel and Veikkaus have announced a partnership agreement under which Folkspel has licensed Veikkaus' OnNet Internet gaming technology. Folkspel and Veikkaus have also agreed to cooperate in developing their Internet gaming business and technology based on Veikkaus' successful OnNet gaming platform. Other regulated national lotteries are invited to join the partnership, which includes also the Dutch national lottery De Lotto.
