HiQ launches lab for interoperability testing of mobile products IT and management consultancy, HiQ, has launched a lab for interoperability testing of mobile products such as GPRS and UMTS terminals. HiQ´s first client is a telecoms supplier. The IOT (Interoperability Test) lab will be used to test mobile platforms and terminals with products such as servers, networks, gateways, palm pilots etc. The goal is to use tests to ensure the interoperability of different products. "Technology is becoming more advanced and communication between products and systems is increasing at a fast pace. This makes it even more important to test and verify the interoperability of different products before they are launched. Interoperability tests make it possible, for example, for a 3G telephone to be adapted for more secure and faster communication with mail servers, various operators' networks and internal networks," says Patrik Boman, MD HiQ Stockholm. The lab also enables interoperability tests to be carried out on different technology providers such as Bluetooth, various technologies such as SMS and MMS, and different suppliers' terminals and mobile products. "With 10 years of experience in testing and simulation, HiQ is optimistic about getting new IOT customers in the future," says Boman.
