HiQ Sailing Team, skippered by Klabbe Nylöf, has its sights set on new records and new victories in this summer’s Nordic offshore races Faerder Race, Gotland Runt and Round Sealand Race. In the past two years HiQ has taken part in the Nordic sailing events with great success.

In summer 2005 the HiQ Sailing Team will take part in the Nordic region’s biggest sailing competitions, including the three offshore races Faerder Race, Gotland Runt and Round Sealand Race. The new trimaran HiQ is one of the fastest sailing vessels in the world and has successfully sailed in competitions such as the ORMA, Jaques Vabre and Route du Rhum. HiQ Sailing Team has backing from HiQ International and its co-partners, as well as Klabbe Nylöf (Skipper), Andreas Andersén (Boat Captain) and Pelle Norberg (Project Manager). Together they form a very strong team who have accumulated many merits in the Whitbread, Volvo Ocean Race and other major international competitions. “Our aim this summer is to win the three offshore races Faerder Race, Gotland Runt and Round Sealand Race and break the record each time. We are looking forward to many exciting races this coming season. HiQ Sailing Team holds records in the Faerder Race and Round Sealand Race – records that we will defend and, if possible, improve on. With such a good boat and very positive cooperation with HiQ and our other partners, we are in a good position to do so,” says Klabbe Nylöf. The boat is a 60-foot trimaran and one of the fastest sailing vessels in the world. In good conditions the boat can sail at up to 40 knots – last year’s speed record was 36 knots. “HiQ Sailing Team is a very successful venture for the HiQ Group and an excellent tool for raising our profile and getting the Group involved through activities throughout the Nordic area – something that is appreciated by both our employees and our clients,” says Lars Stugemo, President and CEO of HiQ International. - HiQ is a specialist technology company that always endeavours to be at the forefront of developments. Speed, flexibility and top-level expertise are important keywords for us. Modern sailing sport, too, is characterised by advanced technology, speed and high requirements of flexibility, so our involvement in the trimaran sailing feels right,” continues Stugemo.
