Stockholm HiQ signs new framework agreement with Ericsson HiQ has signed a new framework agreement with Ericsson, whereby HiQ will be Ericsson's preferred supplier of consulting services in 2000. The agreement involves supplying consulting services such as advanced systems development, project management and analysis. - The renewal of this framework agreement helps us consolidate HiQ's position as a leading telecoms consultancy. An agreement with Ericsson is a stamp of quality for HiQ, and demonstrates that Ericsson views us as a prime supplier of top-of-the-range consulting services, says Lars Stugemo, Deputy Managing Director of HiQ International. Stugemo sees many advantages to the agreement. In particular, HiQ's Mobile Internet focus is strengthened by its continued partnership with Ericsson. - Ericsson is one of the major driving forces behind Scandinavian successes within the Mobile Internet, and the alliance with Microsoft clearly strengthens their position. HiQ has been working with Ericsson since 1995, and has been involved in the development of the Mobile Internet, using both today's and tomorrow's technology, continues Stugemo. Today, HiQ has around 40 consultants working in the field of the Mobile Internet, and the market is continuing to expand. New international customers are also noticing Scandinavia's dominance within the Mobile Internet, and demand is on the rise. HiQ's membership of the GPRS Applications Alliance, which was an Ericsson initiative, is well in line with this development. - We have longstanding, well established relationships with many suppliers of telecoms services as well as operators, and this gives us a unique breadth of competence that benefits all of our clients within the telecoms industry, both at the national and the international level, concludes Stugemo.
