HiQ signs new public sector framework agreement - Creating new business opportunities with 51 public sector bodies HiQ has signed a comprehensive framework agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) with a view to working with around fifty government authorities and other bodies within the county of Stockholm. A total of seven IT services suppliers have been chosen comprehensive suppliers. The framework agreement includes services within business development, strategy, management, control, systems development, systems management and infrastructure and is effective for a period of two years from signing. Overall, the authorities' annual purchasing volume for services covered by the new agreement will amount to approximately SEK 1,000-1,500 million. The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Swedish Agency for Public Management have jointly made a coordinated purchase of IT consultancy services in the county of Stockholm. The Swedish Agency for Public Management has previously coordinated two purchases of IT consultancy services on behalf of a few authorities, and in both cases HiQ was a framework agreement supplier. Coordinated purchasing allows authorities that utilise the agreement to save time and resources as well as providing them with assured quality from the selected suppliers. "The framework agreement will bring HiQ a number of new and interesting clients within the public sector segment. We see the fact that we have again been selected as a supplier for such a broad purchase as proof that our long experience of developing business-critical solutions and advanced systems for our clients is a strength that creates good opportunities for us to be competitive in a number of different sectors," says Patrik Boman, Managing Director of HiQ Stockholm. "As our clients are choosing to reduce the number of suppliers that they work with, the significance of framework agreements has increased considerably. Where the public sector is concerned, a framework agreement is often a prerequisite for being able to continue to do good business with them," continues Boman. The authorities and other bodies covered by the framework agreement include the National Labour Market Board (AMS), the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), the National Post and Telecom Agency, the National Police Board and the National Tax Board, among others.
