HiQ has signed a new framework agreement with Stockholm Local Transport (Storstockholms Lokaltrafik – SL). The agreement covers services within systems design and quality assurance, and is effective for two years.

“SL is an important client for HiQ and we have enjoyed a good partnership for a number of years. Among other things, we have assisted SL with project management for major procurements and in various logistics projects. The fact that we are now signing a framework agreement with our client naturally opens up opportunities for us to expand our cooperation further, which we are delighted about,” says Mats Gjöthlén, Account Manager at HiQ.

“We are very pleased with HiQ’s services and our partnership to date. The new framework agreement will allow us to continue to cooperate on systems design and quality assurance. We would emphasise that it is how HiQ handles the procurement that has enabled us to continue our good partnership," says Micael Erneborg, Head of Development at SL IT.

SL has overall responsibility for providing residents of the county of Stockholm with a well-functioning public transport system. Around 700,000 people travel with SL every day. It is SL’s task to develop and find new public transport solutions, as well as to procure transport and ensure that those providing the services comply with the agreements entered into. SL currently has a headcount of just over 500 and employs a further 10,000 people in daily public transport. SL works to provide Stockholmers with a good value alternative to the car, in order thereby to create a positive environment for people as well as animals and nature in Stockholm.

“HiQ has worked on the project management, development and quality assurance of advanced communications systems for various clients for more than a decade. A business such as SL’s faces the significant challenges of running systems capable of effective monitoring and handling of the large flows of information involved in public transport. We have sound expertise in the area and naturally we hope to be able to assist SL with our expertise in this area in the future,” says Bo Ringdahl, Managing Director of HiQ Stockholm.
