HiQ to specify crisis management system for the Swedish Emergency Management Agency HiQ has won a new order to specify a system to be used by government authorities in the event of a crisis. The Swedish Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) is developing a Web-based information system that will make all the relevant information available to municipalities, county councils and government authorities in the event of a crisis. A logging system will record the situation that has occurred as well as the measures taken by the relevant authorities, enabling crisis situations to be recreated in order to learn from them. "HiQ has been commissioned to specify the relevant information to be included in the logging system, in cooperation with government authorities, county councils and municipalities - in other words, to prepare a specification of requirements for the system. It's an important task in today's society," says Bo Ringdahl, Account Manager, HiQ Stockholm. The Swedish Emergency Management Agency coordinates work on the preparedness of Swedish society to manage serious crises and is also responsible for information security in Swedish society. In the event of a serious crisis SEMA provides support to public sector bodies such as municipalities, county councils and government authorities. "We are pleased and proud that our work with SEMA is resulting in new orders. We have been working with SEMA for a number of years, such as in the charting and analysis of fixed and mobile data and telecoms networks. It's an example of how HiQ's expertise is in demand from lots of different sectors," says Bo Ringdahl.
