HiQ wins new order from leading global vehicle manufacturer to supply production test systems to Brazil
HiQ recently received an order from a leading Nordic vehicle manufacturer with a global presence. The order is for the supply of new production test systems for quality assurance of engines produced in Brazil.
“We are very proud that our client has reconfirmed its confidence that we can deliver this type of production test system. We have previously supplied similar systems intended for the client’s business in Asia, so I see the new order as proof that we did a good job. HiQ has extensive expertise and experience when it comes to developing both production and development testing solutions for a large number of automotive industry clients, and systems for effective testing within the vehicle industry are among the solutions we supply,” says Anders Nilsson, Managing Director of HiQ Mälardalen.
The new order forms part of a standardisation programme for engine production tests, the ultimate aim being that all group subsidiaries will test engines in the same way.
In the new system – which is to be taken into service by the client in the first quarter of 2011 – the testing software will recognise the engine model being tested and then perform the complete test cycle automatically. The system also manages and controls all the external systems needed to perform engine testing. Once the testing is complete, the test results and requested measured values are sent to a central database that is then used in global test operations.
