Jon Carvell - new Managing Director of HiQ Skåne HiQ has appointed Jon Carvell as the new Managing Director of HiQ Skåne. HiQ's business in the Öresund region is developing strongly and the Skåne subsidiary has enjoyed the fasted growth in the Group in recent years. At present HiQ employs around 80 people in Skåne and Denmark, offering high-tech development in fields such as telecoms. The region is characterised by rapid growth and intensive technological development at companies such as Ericsson Mobile Platforms, Sony Ericsson and AstraZeneca etc. "The business in Skåne has developed positively ever since it was established at the beginning of 2002 and has exhibited strong growth. We expect to be able to continue to grow in the future. Jon Carvell is taking over operational responsibility as Managing Director of HiQ Skåne and is a very experienced and skilled successor," says Johan Olsson, outgoing Managing Director of HiQ Skåne. Jon Carvell has long experience in management and sales in the IT consultancy sector, most recently as Sales Manager for South and West Sweden at Ementor. During his time at Ementor, Carvell also worked as Regional Manager for South Sweden. Carvell holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and has previously held a number of different positions within the IT sector, including as a consultant, product manager and sales manager. With his experience of IT consultancy and the market in Skåne, Jon will be able to help broaden our business and maintain the positive development of the company.
