Lars Stugemo new CEO of HiQ The Board of Directors of IT and management consultancy, HiQ, have appointed Lars Stugemo as new CEO and Managing Director of HiQ International. Stugemo has been Deputy Managing Director of HiQ since June 1999, and Managing Director of subsidiary HiQ Data since May 1998. He is 38 years old and has been working in the IT industry for around 15 years and was one of the founders of HiQ in Stockholm in 1995. In his new CEO position, Stugemo succeeds Ken Gerhardsen who, due to illness, is choosing to undertake other duties in the company. Ken Gerhardsen and Lars Stugemo have been running the company together since it was founded. "Stugemo has run the company alongside Ken Gerhardsen in his capacity as Deputy CEO since HiQ was founded. With his know-how and long-standing experience of the company, he has the Board's full confidence as the new CEO," says Hans Karlsson, Chairman of the Board at HiQ. "I have been having problems with my ear for many years, which only seem to be getting worse. External contacts and acting as HiQ's main representative have become increasingly difficult due to my illness, and I have therefore decided to work with other duties within the company. I would like to stress that I am resigning from my position voluntarily, and will continue working full-time at HiQ," says Ken Gerhardsen. Patrik Boman will be taking over Lars Stugemo's position as Managing Director of HiQ Data, the company's Stockholm office. Patrik has been working at HiQ for several years as head of sales and various consultancy teams, the most recent being HiQ Business Consulting. He has been working in the telecoms industry with international business for just over 10 years.
