Pekka Neva - New Managing Director for HiQ Softplan Pekka Neva is appointed new MD of HiQ Softplan from the 1st of April 2003. - Softplan has continued to prosper within the HiQ Group. According to plan, I will resign as MD this spring and turn over the company in the capable hands of Mr Pekka Neva. Neva joined Softplan in 1990 and knows our customers, people and how to run this company the best way, says Mr Hannu Lehessaari, MD HiQ Softplan. - I have been asked to continue working as an advisor to the HiQ group which I have accepted, says Mr Lehessaari. At HiQ Softplan, Neva has been responsible mainly for sales and projects for Sonera Corporation. Neva holds a degree as M.Sc.in Engineering from the Technical University of Helsinki. Neva has formerly worked as project manager at Oy Softplan Ab ("The Old Softplan"-subsidiary to Nokia and the foundation of today's Softplan) and Nokia Research Center. - The change of MD is according to plan and I am confident that the company will continue to develop with good profit with the new MD in charge and the skilled employees of HiQ Softplan, says Mr Lars Stugemo, CEO HiQ International. M.Sc. (Math) Anssi Rantanen who joined the company in 1997 will act as Vice President. Anssi Rantanen will be responsible for sales and marketing, concentrating on international projects, including OnNet Lottery system marketing to foreign lotteries in cooperation with Veikkaus, the Finnish State Lottery. M.Sc. (Eng) Markku Sani, with a background within sales and marketing from Oy Softplan Ab, Nokia Data, Oracle and Stonesoft will strengthen the sales organization in beginning of March and be responsible for new customer sales in Finland. - I have worked with these and other key people since the 80s.
