HK RUOKATALO TO INCREASE ITS OWNERSHIP IN TALLEGG OF ESTONIA

HK Ruokatalo strengthens its position in AS Tallegg, the largest
producer of poultry meat and eggs in Estonia. When the arrangement is
carried out, HK Ruokatalo owns almost entire share capital of Tallegg.

HK Ruokatalo together with the Federation of Swedish Farmers (LRF) has
owned the majority holding of Tallegg since June 2001. Having been a
strategic investor LRF has now decided to withdraw from Tallegg and is
therefore to sell its stake to HK Ruokatalo. After the aquisition, HK
Ruokatalo's interest in Tallegg rises to 98.3 per cent. The rest of
the shares is owned mainly by Tallegg's personnel.

As leading company of its branch in Estonia Tallegg is an integrated
part of HK Ruokatalo Group's Baltic operations and the arrangement in
ownership does not affect Tallegg's business activities or position on
the market. Tallegg reported a turnover of EUR 32.9 million in 2002
and a result after financial items of EUR 3.7 million. The company has
subsidiary undertakings in Latvia and Lithuania. Over 700 persons are
employed by Tallegg and its subsidiaries.

Under HK Ruokatalo's ownership period Tallegg has become extremely
well placed to enter a new business environment as Estonia, Latvia and
Lithuania become EU Member States and as popularity of poultry meat is
increasing in the Baltic countries.
