MATTI PERKONOJA APPOINTED HKSCAN CEO
The Board of Directors of HKScan Corporation appointed CFO Matti Perkonoja as
the company's new CEO on Monday, 12 January 2009 for a term agreed to extend
until the end of 2010, at which time Mr Perkonoja will retire. He has served as
acting CEO in addition to his regular duties since 5 January 2009.
Matti Perkonoja, aged 59, has been the CFO of HKScan since 2000. Before this,
he served in both commercial and industrial positions in the Group which he
joined in 1993.
According to Markku Aalto, Chairman of the Board of HKScan, Mr Perkonoja's
background gives him an excellent understanding of the company. He was one of
the key contributors to HKScan's internationalisation, and his wealth of
experience - as well as the state of the company's business, which was restored
to a more even keel in late 2008 - provides a prime foundation for the further
development of the company.
