NOTIFICATION UNDER THE MARKET SECURITIES ACT

Under Chapter 2, Section 9 of the Finnish Market Securities Act, we
hereby announce that HK Ruokatalo has received the following
disclosure about change in ownership.

Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund’s (LRF) ownership in HK Ruokatalo Oyj has
fallen below three-twentieths (3/20) on 13 October 2003.

Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund’s ownership now is as follows:

HK Ruokatalo Oyj’s share capital comprises 25,249,465 shares
(19,849,465 series A-Shares and 5,400,000 series K-Shares), which
convey a total of 127,849,465 votes (series A-Shares each convey one
vote, series K-Shares each convey 20 votes).

Information on owner: Lantbrukarnas Ekonomi AB (Sweden), which in turn
is owned 100 per cent by Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund (Federation of
Swedish Farmers), the central interest and industry organisation for
Swedish farmers, forest owners and the agricultural cooperative
movement.

LRF has had a share hold in HK Ruokatalo since 1998. LRF announces it
still has a strong confidence in HK Ruokatalo and its future
development.
