RATIONALISATION OF HK RUOKATALO’S RAW MATERIAL SUPPLIES PROCEEDS

The Finnish Competition Authority has approved subcontracting
agreement signed by HK Ruokatalo’s procurement company LSO Foods Oy
and Järvi-Suomen Portti cooperative in September. Portti discontinues
its supplying of pork and beef and outsources animal procurement and
associated services to LSO Foods.

For LSO Foods, the subcontracting agreement will translate into a
marked increase in supply volumes. The arrangement greatly improves
procurement efficiency through larger volume and by removing overlaps
in the supply organisations.

The aim is to start the subcontracting as soon as possible. The
agreement applies solely to the animal procurement in Finland.
