SOKOLÓW TO ACQUIRE ADDITIONAL CAPACITY IN POLAND

Sokolów, in which HK Ruokatalo has a joint interest, is to consolidate
its position in western Poland through the acquisition of Poznan-based
Pozmeat S.A. and its currently empty factory, completed in 2001.
Pozmeat’s production facilities include a modern slaughterhouse,
cutting plant and meat processing factory. The deal will enable
Sokolów to step up supplies to Central Europe, especially to the
nearby Berlin region.

Pozmeat has been in liquidation since autumn 2004. Production will
start up towards the end of the year. The company’s century-old brand
is one of Poland’s best-known processed meat brands. The area around
Poznan is major pork producing country.

Sokolów is Poland’s second largest meat and processed meat company and
is owned by HK Ruokatalo and Danish Crown on a 50-50 basis.
