The sales continued to show a stabile growth. The inflow of orders during last month has slowed down slightly more than expected due to normal seasonal variation. The Profit before tax of January to October where up by 21.5 per cent, amounting to MSEK 74.4 (61.2). The profit of October 1998 was lower than corresponding month last year. This implies a minor decrease in earnings per share for the last 12 months to SEK 6.70 (5.81) from last month's of SEK 6.88. The weakening of the Swedish Krona has a favourable effect on sales and profit. Translation gains/losses on consolidation amounted to MSEK 2.4 (0.7). Investments in fixed assets amounted to MSEK 55.4 (24.8). These mainly pertain to investments in production plants and office locations according to the investment plan for increased production capacity.
