Stockholm, Sweden - HMSHost Europe, part of the Autogrill Group, a world leader in airport shopping and dining, has opened its newest location in Terminal 4 of the Stockholm Arlanda Airport in partnership with Sweden’s most popular hamburger chain, MAX. HMSHost currently operates eight other food and beverage locations at the airport.

MAX is Sweden’s most highly acclaimed hamburger chain with more than 56 locations currently operating throughout the country. The family-owned company is the only Swedish hamburger brand that guarantees that they serve only Swedish beef and chicken.

The newly opened location in Terminal 4 is accessible to travelers, airport staff and non-passengers. The restaurants offers 90 seats for a relaxed sit down breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu includes the famous MAX hamburgers and chicken burgers — all made with MAX’s traditional high standard for excellence. MAX will be open daily from 05.00 to 23.00 hrs on weekdays; in the weekend different opening times will apply.

“We are very pleased to welcome Max to our portfolio of brands and to open the first MAX location at Stockholm Arlanda Airport,” said Walter Seib, Managing Director of HMSHost Europe. “The addition of this quality burger brand is new to the airport and will be a fine addition to our offering of food and beverage concepts at Arlanda Airport. We expect this local concept to be very successful.”

“We see the cooperation with HMSHost as a solid first step when we expand our company internationally. They are an ideal first partner and will work as a great test bed as we plan for new locations and countries", says Richard Bergfors, President of MAX Hamburger Restaurants.

Anne-Marie Zuidweg, Managing Director of the Arlanda Schiphol Development Company AB, responsible for concessions management in the terminals at Stockholm Arlanda Airport comments: "Arlanda offers its passengers a broad selection of food and beverage concepts, varying from typical Swedish to international concepts. The addition of MAX, as a local new flavour, to the offering in our domestic Terminal 4 will be an excellent fit. We have high expectations of its contribution both in terms of passenger satisfaction and commercial revenues."

A leading European gateway, Stockholm Arlanda Airport serves more than 16 million passengers annually, transporting them to more than 170 destinations worldwide on 60 airlines.
